Yesterday was open house. I should have posted this yesterday but I was too sleepy and had no time. I think RI too much money already, the whole driveway was filled with like a gazillion balloons. Then there was the big one in the middle of the raffles square. All the P6ers came to like look look see see. Not known to them is that the open house is just a delusion of RI which is never true later when you finally enter through the walkways of the school. Then you will find out how cruel the environment is with a vicious cycle of workload, high amounts of stress, and crazy loads of saigang (carrying s**t literally translated). That is the true life of a "good" student. Nyah... Anyway back to open house. The parents are like freaking kiasu nowadays. They apply to like all the schools applying DSA. That is like 7 schools in total. Their kids not stress ah? Pity them... That is complete utter madness. Some were of course normal in a sense that they were not exactly that pushing to the rate that the child breaks mentally. Though if you haven't broken your mental sanity before you enter RI, you will soon break it once you start school next year in Sec 1. Sad sad life.
Plasma TVs and schools do not mix very well apparently. So in a curse of bad omen to come, the NEW plasma TVs all spoiled right before the start of open house. How nice... Thus we should all go back to the days of the CRT ( you know the big fat ones) TVs so that we will be luckier.
One more week of school sia. So happy :). Even though there will be a lot of holiday work, at least not waking up at 6.15 every morning is an enticing prospect.
I have an urge to go to Pulau Ubin's new mountain bike trail soon. Sounds quite interesting. Maybe during the June holidays, or again what holidays?? I shall try to rest though... I need it...
